Situated atop Phnom Bokor Mountain, at an elevation of about 1,048 m, Bokor Hill Station is a striking remnant of French colonial ambition in Cambodia’s Kampot Province, approximately 37 km west of Kampot City . Built in the early 1920s as a cool mountain retreat for French officials, the hill station features grand structures like the Palace Hotel & Casino, the Catholic church, and Wat Sampov Pram temple—now weathered and atmospheric relics that evoke a haunting nostalgia .
