Veal Pouch Waterfall

Veal Phuoc Waterfall is a serene natural retreat tucked away in Twi North Village, Andong Khmer Commune, Kampot City, Kampot Province. Still largely unknown to most tourists, this hidden gem offers a peaceful escape into nature.

To reach the site, start your journey along National Road 3, heading toward Preah Sihanouk Province. About 1.4 kilometers from the roundabout, turn right at the gate of Wat Buddha Chey Mongkolaram—commonly known as Wat Veal Phuoc. Continue for about 5 kilometers to reach the pagoda itself.

From there, travel approximately 1 more kilometer toward the waterfall. On your right, you’ll catch sight of a sparkling blue cascade—a beautiful scene that instantly soothes the eye. For those eager to explore further, the real adventure begins here.

Follow the stream by foot, crossing flowing waters and carefully hopping from stone to stone. As you continue through the valley for about 20 minutes, the forest opens up to reveal a stunning waterfall, standing roughly 20 meters high. Surrounded by untouched nature, the falls are framed by a towering stone wall, where a tree grows from above, its roots stretching dramatically across the rock face.

Though the walk may be a little challenging, the reward is worth it. The cool mist, the rhythmic sound of falling water, and the refreshing stream invite you to relax, swim, and enjoy. The water flows directly from Bokor Mountain, making it delightfully cold and invigorating—perfect for washing away the fatigue of the hike.

Along the way, you’ll also find local vendors selling food and drinks, adding an extra layer of comfort and convenience for visitors.
